NEW DELHI Iran's Ambassador to Bangladesh Mohammad Sadeq Fayyaz in a meeting in Dhaka Monday with the newly appointed Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry Director General for the Western Asian Affairs Manzour Alim discussed issues related to Referring to the achievements of the 8th summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), in Tehran last December and of the 3rd Economic Commission, in Dhaka, the Iranian ambassador expressed hope that the Irano-Bangladeshi relations in the polit Fayyaz stated that some 30 Iranian delegations had paid visits to Bangladesh last year whereas only 15 Bangladeshi delegations visited Iran during the same period and this proves that the Iranian diplomacy was more active.
The two sides in their talks also discussed an imminent visit of the Bangladeshi minister of local government, rural development and cooperatives and of the Bangladeshi Chamber of Industries and Commerce to the Islamic Republic of Iran. (IRNA)
